Balance what could go wrong against what investors can carry: price every liability, keep only the risk that fits the investors' appetite, and cover the rest.
SkaFld Cover is in development. It is not available yet.
The problem
Projects and investments are judged on upside while liability sits in fine print: who carries an injury on site, a construction defect, a sub's bad work, a workers' comp claim. Coverage is bought late and generically, investors cannot see what risk they actually hold, and good operators pay the same premiums as careless ones.
Coverage is placed through licensed insurance partners who hold the license. SkaFld does not sell insurance itself. SkaFld Cover shows estimates, not insurance advice.

How the work moves
- 01
Identify
List every way the project or investment can create liability, from injuries and defects to delays, wildfire and title.
- 02
Quantify
Odds, severity, expected loss and worst-case loss for each risk line, adjusted for certification, prequalification and claims history.
- 03
Allocate
Decide who holds each risk: avoid, mitigate, transfer to a sub by contract, insure, reserve, or leave with investors.
- 04
Match
Test the risk left over against each investor's appetite; restructure or reprice until it fits, or the gate says no.
- 05
Place
Bind coverage through a licensed broker partner, using SkaFld's risk data packet to win better terms.
- 06
Reserve
Fund the project or fund reserve for retained risk and deductibles.
- 07
Monitor
Signals watch certificates, incidents, inspections and claims; the risk lines update as the work progresses.
- 08
Settle
Claims are handled, recovered from the responsible party where possible, and fed back into pricing.
